frontofbicycle Exhibition T&C
frontofbicycle's Exhibition - Terms & Conditions 2021 - frontofbicycle's | General Terms & Conditions also apply
Exhibition Terms & Conditions
frontofbicycle's "Exhibition Terms & Conditions" relate to participating members exhibiting in either one of frontofbicycle's group or solo exhibitions applied through frontofbicycle's "Submission to Exhibit Form". In hosting any exhibition, frontofbicycle will only act as an intermediary between the artist member and frontofbicycles' audience in the interest of supporting and promoting the artist members' artworks.
Exhibiting Members living outside of Basel
Members are solely responsible for researching, heeding and following all individual state tax, importation laws and cross-border information. Each artist member organizes shipment of their own artworks. Here is a LINK for your review, but please do your research and ensure you have the correct paperwork in place. All other "Exhibiting Terms & Conditions" apply.
frontofbicycle's "Submission" | *Only submit when fully committed to participating.
By submitting works to exhibit means that you have read and understood frontofbicycle's related "Exhibition proposal" (sent to all artist members inviting them to exhibit) and agree to all "Exhibiting Terms & Conditions".
By submitting artworks commits each individual piece to frontofbicycle's proposed exhibition. If the artwork is sold between the duration of the submission process and the start of the exhibition, then the artist must notify frontofbicycle by email to: contact@frontofbicycle. The artist can either present the sold piece within the exhibition (marked as sold, of which frontofbicycle will still receive 20% commission), or replace the artwork with an alternative piece, but the replacement will be subject to the decision of the frontofbicycle team, and will be subject to the exhibition timeline.
All images submitted must be of high quality and a true representation of the proposed exhibiting piece. All details should be accurate as these will be used in the printing of labels and potentially on marketing and promotional material. Extra costs will be incurred if making adjustments, i.e. change of name, title, pricing, narrative, after the submission confirmation.
Not all artworks submitted may be included in the exhibition, due to size of artworks and the orientation of the exhibition space. When selected to exhibit, frontofbicycle will confirm the selection of works before the payment fee is received.
Exhibition Fees
frontofbicycle's Exhibition Fees - are presented on frontofbicycle's "Exhibition proposal" or "Gallery Booking Reservation Form". Once the artist's submission has been accepted to participate, payment is then required. Dues to be received as per instructions on the "Exhibition proposal."
Cancellation of participation
The artist member must notify by email to contact@frontofbicycle.com, if they are unable to deliver works on time, or if they need to cancel their participation to exhibit, thus allowing frontofbicycle to explore alternative exhibiting options. Fees will be incurred;
Refunds
All paid fees are non-refundable, unless frontofbicycle Gallery has had to cancel the exhibition.
Artworks
All artworks should be finished to a professional standard, with appropriate fixtures and fittings in place, ready for sale, installation and in accordance with the guidelines below:
