Carola Hau Juris: Germany
Carola Hau Juris was born in Breisach am Rhein, Germany and holds a degree in "Educationalist for Adult Education" and in "Socio-Pedagogical Art Therapy."
For the past 19 years Carola works and manages "Das Atelier", her school/studio in Breisach /Rhein, where she offers art workshops for kids, teenagers, adults and people with disabilities. Her classes are structured to inspire and guide her students to discover their innate potential and ways to express their unique qualities.
Carola works with a broad variety of materials; from old wood and stones, to sea shells and tree barks. Using these materials, she creates new paintings and objects of art still contextually and structurally characterized by the source material. In her landscape series "Kaiserstuhl" for example, Carola worked with local materials, yellow clay from the vineyards, and various types of local tree bark.
Carola is fascinated by the circle of life, the human figure and how true beauty touches us deep inside, connecting us with the outer world.
Since 1994 Carola has participated in both solo and group exhibitions in Germany, France and Switzerland.
