Opening new doors for international artists in Basel

To register your application: 
  • You are over 18 years old
  • Living within the Basel region - (with the exception of an invitation from frontofbicycle to register as an international artist in residence)
  • Are a professionally trained artist; however, with further review, we may accept self-trained applicants 
 Meet our screening criteria
  1. Artworks ​- must be ready for sale
  2. Craftsmanship and execution of works - presenting technical and control of materials applied
  3. Aesthetics - Illustrating the quality of form and treatment of works
  4. Impression - Presenting an emotional response to the viewer
  5. Consistency - Producing an ongoing portfolio of works 
  6. Personal Identity - Expression of unique vision and original concept
  7. Community - To support frontofbicycle's vision / to fit into the community of frontofbicycle
