Coming Out of the Dark Series
During the difficult pandemic period, Gudrun felt the need to work on something that was aesthetically positive, colourful and innocent. Inspired by a momentary idea, she started with colourful fruits coming out of the dark.

Before anything changes, the old conditions and circumstances intensify as they come to a head! Now's the time to break through this circle, to search for a different direction. "Break Free" is a calling not to fall into lethargy or despair but rather to try a "New Beginning."

Painting with pure color pigments is one of the most original forms of painting. Applied directly to the substrate and with highly intense color pigments, it gives the image an exceptional character. Depending on the binder used, there are hard and soft pastel sticks - Gudrun uses high-quality soft pastels of the manufacture UNISON; Northumberland, UK.
